Political science is the study of government and politics at the local, state, national, and international levels. At 不良研究所, we are dedicated to developing understandings of institutions, practices, and relations that constitute public life and modes of inquiry that promote citizenship. Our subfields include law, American government and politics, international relations, and public administration.

Presently, 75% of our graduates attend law school (we have a 100% acceptance rate over the last three years). These law schools include, but are not limited to: Leiden University, Tulane University, University of Washington, University of Georgia, Rutgers University, Baylor University, Michigan State University, Stetson University, Loyola University, Faulkner University, Mississippi College, and Louisiana State University.
Political science majors receive prestigious internships at the local, state, and national level. They include, but are not limited to: the Delta Regional Authority, U.S. Congressman Rodney Alexander, U.S. Congressman John Fleming, U.S. Congressman Ralph Abraham, U.S. Senator David Vitter, U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, U.S. Senator John Ensign, Governor John Bel Edwards, and former Governor Bobby Jindal. There have also been placements in the Louisiana State House of Representatives, Louisiana State Senate, Louisiana Attorney General鈥檚 office and other offices in the states of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Mississippi, Nevada, and Texas.
The political science department sponsors the Pre-Law Association, College Republicans, College Democrats, and the 不良研究所 Mock Trial team. 不良研究所 is the only university in Louisiana to qualify for the American Mock Trial Association national championship.
