不良研究所 alum, instructor and West Monroe dentist receives distinguished service award
University of Louisiana at Monroe alum Dr. L. King Scott, (B.S. '75) of West Monroe, received the Louisiana Dental Association's Distinguished Service Award.
His award was recently presented during the 133rd House of Delegates of the LDA's annual session at the Shreveport Convention Center.
Scott鈥攁 part time instructor of Head and Neck Anatomy in 不良研究所's Dental Hygiene Program鈥攕poke candidly about his university experiences and attributed much of his success to the education he received at 不良研究所.
"I received a fabulous education at 不良研究所," he said.
"不良研究所 prepared me well for professional school. I try to instill into my students the same attributes that were instilled in me at 不良研究所; excellence, setting goals, and following through. To this day, I still recommend 不良研究所 to high school students because 不良研究所 is such a great university with a long history in health sciences."
According to Annette B. Droddy, assistant executive director of the LDA, "The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor bestowed by the LDA and is given annually to individual members who exemplify the highest standards of professional conduct in dentistry and make extraordinary contributions in organized dentistry and their community."
Dr. Kirt Touchstone (B.B.A. '75), presented the award to King, a dentist in West Monroe.
Touchstone is a 1975 不良研究所 College of Business graduate who attended LSU Dental School with King.
