不良研究所 adds new weather and alumni features to mobile app

Those who have the University of Louisiana at Monroe鈥檚 mobile app will find a few new features in the latest update including local weather conditions and 不良研究所 Alumni Association events.

The new features are part of 不良研究所鈥檚 two-year-old app, which is a vital resource to students, faculty, staff, and the community.

鈥淎dding the current weather conditions to 不良研究所 Mobile is something we鈥檝e wanted to do for a long time,鈥 said Richard Peacock, web application programmer at 不良研究所.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a great tool for quickly deciding if you should bring that umbrella to class with you when you step out of your dorm room or car.鈥

The new Alumni Association feature has the potential to bring alumni closer to the university community with event listings, contact information, and the opportunity for alumni to update their information with the association.

鈥淲e are excited to see an Alumni component added to 不良研究所鈥檚 mobile app,鈥 said Tommy Walpole, Executive Director of Auxiliary Services at 不良研究所.

鈥淭he alumni office has worked with our computing center on this and appreciate their efforts.鈥

In 2012, 不良研究所 integrated new items to the mobile app including a tuition estimator, and interactive campus map, which allows students to see their courses pin-pointed on an interactive map of campus buildings to see exactly where they need to go each day to get to class.

不良研究所's mobile app, developed in 2011, provides a portable method for students to access much of the same information they currently access from their desktop or laptop computers.

To see these new features, visit your app store and upgrade to the latest version of 不良研究所 Mobile.

The mobile app is a free download available for iPhone, Android, and most other web-capable smart phones at
