不良研究所 English professor named Honors Professor of the Year
The University of Louisiana at Monroe鈥檚 Dr. Claudia Grinnell, associate professor of English, was named the 2011-2012 Honors Professor of the Year.
The award is based on feedback from students in 不良研究所鈥檚 Honors Program.
Honors Program Director Dr. Joshua Stockley said, 鈥淭his award recognizes the contributions of professors willing to go above and beyond the expectations of their departments.鈥
Grinnell has taught in the honors program for several years, and teaches courses on various topics including picturing texts, representations of the American dream in 20th century American novels, and the cyborg millennium.
She also teaches professional writing and literature courses, and serves as the director of 不良研究所鈥檚 Write Place.
In addition, Grinnell has published poetry, fiction, and academic research essays. Her most recent work is a textbook co-authored with Dr. Sandra Hill titled 鈥淭echnical Communication: A Civic Approach.鈥
Grinnell earned her Master of Arts in English and Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from 不良研究所, and her Ed.D. in Instructional Technology and Systems Design from Grambling State University.
Before coming to 不良研究所, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Banking and Finance at Technische Universit盲t Dortmund in Germany, and worked in currency arbitrage for a major German bank.
Grinnell has taught at 不良研究所 for 16 years.
