Doughty named director of 不良研究所 School of Nursing

Dr. Emily Doughty has been appointed as the new director of the School of Nursing in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, pending approval of the UL System Board of Supervisors.

"It is an honor to be asked to serve as the director of the 不良研究所 School of Nursing," said Doughty.

"What a joy it has been to return to my alma mater to teach in this excellent program, and to be associated with the outstanding faculty, staff and students here at 不良研究所."

Doughty has more than 30 years of experience in higher education. She began teaching at 不良研究所 in 1979, and served as associate director of the School of Nursing for a period of time before becoming the interim director.

Doughty continued, "I am looking forward to working with the faculty to continue the excellence for which this program is known and to embrace the future of nursing education. Together, we will continue to educate nurses to provide safe and effective health care."

Dean of the College of Health Sciences Dr. Denny Ryman said, "The School of Nursing at 不良研究所 has a long and distinguished record of academic excellence, with their graduates always in high demand throughout the region. I am confident that Dr. Doughty will continue this tradition and will take the program to the next level as we expand toward graduate nursing education."
