Miss Louisiana honored at Miss America
Miss Louisiana 2011 Hope Anderson, a 不良研究所 mass communications graduate and Monroe native, was honored as one of three national Miracle Maker Award Winners at the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nev.
Each year Miss America and the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals awards the contestant who raises the most money for CMN, but this year three contestants each raised an unprecedented $40,000 for CMN Hospitals, so Miss America chose to honor each of these states: Louisiana, Hawaii and North Carolina.
The state of Louisiana won the State Miracle Maker Award for the raising the most funds for CMN-- the state will receive a $5,000 scholarship. Hope worked very hard to achieve her goal of raising $25,000.
