Hood, who is in his 22nd year of service at 不良研究所, is proud of the accomplishment.
鈥淚 feel very honored to have been asked to make the presentation,鈥 said Hood. 鈥淐het Atkins was not only a world class musician but a wonderful person who was extremely well thought of by all those who knew him.鈥
On Friday March 2, Hood will show his presentation to teachers throughout the Nashville area, and on Saturday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m., Hood will present to the general public in Ford Theater at the Hall of Fame.
The title of the presentation is 鈥淭he Life and Music of Chet Atkins.鈥 Guest guitarists will include Eddie Pennington of Kentucky and Ben Hall of Mississippi.
Both Pennington and Hall are previous National Finger-Style Guitar champions.
