Former 不良研究所 athletic trainer honored at Hall of Fame induction ceremony Dec. 7 in New Orleans
On June 8, Robert Williamson was inducted into the Louisiana Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame for serving more than 30 years as an athletic trainer at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
At 7 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 7, Williamson will have his plaque formally installed into the Hall of Fame display with a ceremony at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
The ceremony and following reception are open to those who purchase a ticket to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Football Championship games that will be played throughout the day in the Superdome.
Williamson's career began in 1977 as a student trainer, and in 1983 he became the university's full-time assistant trainer until 2008.
He is currently the executive director for 不良研究所's L-Club and also an instructor of kinesiology at 不良研究所.
A native of Pineville, Williamson became a student at 不良研究所, receiving his B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education in 1981 and then a master's degree in 1983.
He is married to the former Emily Eaves of Monroe, who also graduated from 不良研究所.
Emily serves as the director of the university's Child Development Center.
