不良研究所 Fishing Invitational scores big
The University of Louisiana at Monroe hosted the first 不良研究所 Invitational fishing competition at the Ouachita River in Monroe on April 14-15.
Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas brought a total of 18 teams to the competition to battle the high winds and strong currents of the Ouachita.
The overall school competition saw 不良研究所 come in second place, with Haley Andrews of Shreveport catching the team's big bass on day one of the competition, which weighed in at 3.03 pounds. On day two of the competition, Blake Deron scored a 4.15 pounder for "big fish."
不良研究所 was awarded with a king-sized trophy as the top school from Louisiana, after their overall second place finish. The trophy will be passed on to each year's champion for bragging rights as the best Louisiana school each year.
不良研究所 President Dr. Nick J. Bruno claimed the trophy for his team and smiled as he "had just the right place in my office" to display the award.
Competitors were much appreciative of the staff and 不良研究所 Fishing Team as they were treated with breakfast and dinner on both days, with the PIKEs from 不良研究所 volunteering to cook and serve grilled hamburgers at the weigh in site.
The event was successful due to a large group of volunteers, sponsors, parents and the efforts of the hard working 不良研究所 Fishing Team.
