不良研究所 celebrates Greek Songfest Nov. 14

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life, in partnership with the City of Monroe, will sponsor the Third Annual "Greek Songfest" at 7 p.m. on Nov. 14 in Brown Auditorium.

Admission is free and the event is open to the public, but everyone is encouraged to bring canned goods and nonperishable food items as a donation to the event.

All donated goods will benefit a local area food bank.

不良研究所's 15 Greek chapters will compete in a Christmas song and dance competition, featuring an overall first, second and third place, calculated by the highest score totals.

The first place winner will perform at the City of Monroe tree lighting ceremony in early December at the Monroe Civic Center.

"We chose to make this event free this year in order to encourage individuals to donate nonperishable food items we will be collecting at the door," said Keith Hembree, 不良研究所 Greek advisor.

"With the recent economy and job situation, we felt that this would be a great way to show the Monroe community how 不良研究所 Greeks support the local area this holiday season."
