Greeks celebrate accomplishments during Student Affairs Awards Night
The 不良研究所 Office of Greek Life held its annual Athenian Awards banquet Wednesday, April 20, in conjunction with Student Affairs Awards Night.
Greek students and chapters were recognized for their outstanding achievements over the last year.
A highlight each year is the awarding of the Overall Chapter Excellence Award, the highest honor any Greek chapter at 不良研究所 can receive. The award features a competition in scholarship categories of Service, Alumni Relations, Membership, Campus Involvement, and Chapter Programming.
"The Chapters within the Panhellenic, Interfraternity and National Pan-Hellenic Councils annually compete for these awards to see who the top chapter within their respected council is," said 不良研究所 Greek Advisor Keith Hembree.
"The awards are based on the guidelines used in the Fraternity/Sorority Assessment Project that assesses Greek Systems across the country," he said.
"It is great to see members and chapters within our Greek System being recognized for all their hard work and dedication to the university," Hembree said.
"I am very proud of our award winners and congratulate them on an outstanding year."
In addition to their outstanding showing during Greek Week, Student Life also named Pi Kappa Alpha 不良研究所's Organization of the Year for the ninth time in the 12-year history of that award. This year also marked the fraternity's third consecutive All-University Athletic Championship.
