²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù campus to test new emergency equipment on Tuesday, June 21

The University of Louisiana at Monroe campus will be testing its new emergency alert siren on Tuesday afternoon, June 21. The testing is set to run periodically from 1 – 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, an official will announce that the test is about to be performed, which will be followed with the full test to ensure that the siren can be heard throughout campus.

A contractor who is testing the equipment will also check voice evacuation signals, which persons living on or near campus may hear, according to ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Director of Facilities Management Jason Roubique.

The new siren is located on top of the tower at the Administration Building and is designed to provide campus-wide warnings of inclement weather, fire, or other emergency situation.

For more information, contact Roubique at 318-342-5171 or robique@ulm.edu.
