Biology department excels with professional school acceptance rate

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Biology Department has exceeded past success after receiving word that 18 students were accepted into professional school.

Biology department head Dr. Sushma Krishnamurthy said the turnout was very pleasing.

"This is the largest number of acceptances we have had in any one year to date," she explained.

"It shows the dedication of our faculty, as well as the hard work of our students."

Of the 18 accepted students, many will stay within Louisiana, but some will venture outside of the state
