TROMBOTEAM! to come to 不良研究所 Jan. 19
A unique ensemble comes to the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall during a free daytime recital hour Thursday, Jan. 19 at 11:00 am.
TROMBOTEAM! is a fun and entertaining trombone quartet that was established in 2002 when its original members met at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tenn.
Since then, the chamber ensemble has blossomed into a musical group that performs around the country.
Its members each hold graduate level degrees from some of the top music schools in the U.S., including Indiana University, The Florida State University, Yale School of Music, and Manhattan School of Music.
Although members of the group now live and work in different parts of the country, the ensemble collaborates as often as possible.
Committed to the education of young students and the continued advancement of the repertoire, TROMBOTEAM! has performed in tours of the Midwest and Southeastern parts of the country, providing master classes and recitals for students of all ages.
The group's combined individual experience ranges from performances with major symphony orchestras and various chamber ensembles; educational outreach that includes master classes, clinics, and coachings; and numerous solo recitals and freelance engagements in the U.S. and abroad.
The ensemble comes to the recital hall stage courtesy of Dr. Ben McIlwain, visiting assistant professor of trombone at the University of Southern Mississippi School of Music.
The concert is open to the public.
