Four 不良研究所 professors to participate in adult summer reading program

Four faculty members at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will participate in the Ouachita Parish Public Library鈥檚 adult summer reading program titled 鈥淩iver Reads.鈥

This summer鈥檚 theme is 鈥淟ouisiana Women,鈥 and each professor will give a presentation on this topic.

The following professors will participate in this program:

Dr. Bette Kauffman, associate professor of mass communication, will present 鈥淟ouisiana Women Journalists: A Century of Distinction鈥 at 6:30 p.m. on June 7, at the Louise Williams branch at 140 Bayou Oaks Dr. in Monroe.

Dr. Jeff Anderson, assistant professor of history, will present 鈥淢arie Leaveau鈥 at 2 p.m. on June 23, at the West Monroe branch on 315 Cypress St. in West Monroe. Anderson will present the same program at 10 a.m. on June 30, at the Carver-McDonald branch at 2941 Renwick St. in Monroe.

Dr. June Conway, associate professor of art, will present 鈥淭he New Orleans Architectural Style鈥 at 2 p.m. on July 14, at the Sterlington Memorial branch at 305 Keystone Rd. in Sterlington.

Dr. Pamela Higgins Saulsberry, professor of social work, will present 鈥淗istory of Women in Social Work in Louisiana鈥 at 6:30 p.m. on July 15, at the Louise Williams branch.
