Sixth Annual Spring Melt Down paves way to New Year fitness goals; registration Feb. 8

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Activity Center will offer its annual Spring Melt Down again this year.

The “Melt Down” is a six-week program designed to provide residents of the greater Monroe area and campus community with easy-to-follow nutritional guidelines and physical fitness recommendations.

Registration and weigh-in will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Activity Center lounge. The registration fee is $5 and participants must be college age or older. Participants may join as an individual or three-member team.

“We’re working hard to provide participants with new information and ideas they haven’t heard or seen before,” said Ashley Harper, wellness program coordinator. “Many people return to the program year after year, having been pleased with past results.”

For more information, contact Harper at 318-342-5398 or harper@ulm.edu.
