不良研究所 to host a reading by local author April 14

The University of Louisiana at Monroe鈥檚 English department will host a reading from author and north Louisiana native William Caverlee at 7 p.m. on April 14 in the Hemphill Airway and Computer Science Building auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Caverlee will read from his recently published book 鈥淎mid the Swirling Ghosts,鈥 a collection of literary essays and feature stories from throughout his life. The topics range from William Faulkner and Flannery O鈥機onnor to 鈥淧istol鈥 Pete Maravich and Bonnie and Clyde, with many more subjects in between.

Caverlee鈥檚 writings have appeared in several publications including 鈥淭he Christian Science Monitor,鈥 鈥淭he Cimarron Review鈥 and 鈥淟ouisiana Literature.鈥 He鈥檚 also a contributing writer to 鈥淭he Oxford American.鈥
