不良研究所 program named #1 at national conference; success rate surpasses national average

At a National Conference on Aging in Lexington, Ky., last month, the University of Louisiana at Monroe鈥檚 Older Worker Program was named the country鈥檚 number one program for job placement.

The U.S. Department of Labor set an employment goal at a rate of 50 percent for individuals 55 years and older with limited income. 不良研究所鈥檚 program far exceeded that standard by placing older individuals in jobs at a rate of 92 percent.

鈥淭he 不良研究所 Older Worker Program has consistently achieved the top national award for placing older workers in employment,鈥 said Patsy Costello, employment coordinator for the program. 鈥淲e are very proud of this honor and would like to take this opportunity to thank 不良研究所 for continuing to support it.鈥

The program serves 11 parishes in northeast Louisiana and is one of 28 National Council on Aging programs in the U.S. It was implemented more than 25 years ago.
