Three 不良研究所 College of Pharmacy students receive Wal-Mart scholarship awards
Three University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy students have each been awarded a one-time $1,000 The Pharmacy at Wal-Mart Scholarship.
Jennifer Teat, Betthany Thomas, and Ryan Lassabe were specifically selected to receive additional funds this year; previously, Wal-Mart awarded one 不良研究所 student with the grant annually.
Michael B. Peerson, director of Talent Services and Campus Relations for Wal-Mart Stores 鈥 Professional Divisions, expressed that, 鈥淲e want to reaffirm the value we place on our relationship with your school and hope that this $3,000 award will assist students that truly need financial assistance. Education remains a priority for us and each year we review the Pharmacy Scholarship programs to ensure these programs meet our company鈥檚 commitment to education.鈥
Each student was chosen based on the following criteria:
- A pharmacy student with high scholastic standing in his/her last three years of school.
- A financial need, to help the student with tuition, books, etc.
- A student that has shown the ability to lead others.
- A student that shows a strong desire to enter community practice upon graduation and has current/previous experience in community practice.
- The student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
