Oliver honored as Distinguished Graduate by WMHS
Paxton Oliver, associate dean of the 不良研究所 College of Health Sciences, was honored as a Distinguished Graduate Oct. 12 鈥 13 by West Monroe High School during their homecoming.
The public praise, given at a luncheon Oct. 12 and on the stadium field that night, derived from Oliver鈥檚 status as an educator who has made national and international presentations, had numerous articles published, taught for over 30 years in higher education, and who has committed his career to helping others.
In the 54 years of WMHS鈥檚 existence, there have been 64 Distinguished Graduates so recognized. Oliver鈥檚 picture was placed on the Hall of Fame there.
He appreciated the distinction, adding with humor, 鈥淚 am honored about this鈥ut feel that my WMHS classmates will not believe that 鈥楬orshack鈥 from 鈥榃elcome Back Mr. Kotter鈥 even graduated from high school.鈥
