Foreign languages department co-sponsors high school Spanish festival May 5

The University of Louisiana at Monroe foreign languages department will co-sponsor a high school Spanish festival with approximately 250 students in attendance Saturday, May 5 at the Student Union Building Ballroom.

The 2007 theme is "Una caminata por Espa帽a," and all of the displays previously prepared by the high schools will center on a city or region of Spain. Neville, West Monroe, Ouachita Parish and Cedar Creek High Schools, Ouachita Christian School, Delhi Charter School, and the 不良研究所 class in Culture and Civilization of Spain will participate.

不良研究所 students will serve as tour guides through the displays. The high school students will then participate in a talent show before everyone eats a buffet meal catered by Tammy Recouley and provided by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese local chapter. The band IOU will entertain those in attendance.
