Supporters welcome Brown portrait back to namesake hall

不良研究所 friends and supporters joined the family of T.O. Brown for the unveiling of his portrait Thursday, Feb. 15 in Brown Hall.

Brown was the dynamic former Ouachita Parish school superintendent crucial to 不良研究所鈥檚 formation. Nan Salisbury, Brown鈥檚 granddaughter, mentioned that her family felt honored, and that she is impressed by the leadership shown at 不良研究所.

During 不良研究所鈥檚 recent yearlong celebration of its 75th Anniversary, the portrait of Brown traveled from place to place and celebration to celebration.

President James E. Cofer, Sr. and Brown family members M鈥橢lise O鈥橞anion, Marianne Jones, and Carrie Jones together unveiled the portrait in the namesake hall.

鈥淏rown鈥檚 vision and energy drove the founding of Ouachita Parish Junior College, which grew into this magnificent university of today,鈥 Cofer said.

Cofer and Salisbury hosted a small reception following the ceremony.
