Nursing professor co-authors publication
With her dedicated work on "Our Shared Legacy: Nursing Education at Johns Hopkins, 1889-2006," Dr. Linda Sabin has furthered 不良研究所's reputation of contributing to academic excellence nationwide.
Sabin, a professor at 不良研究所's School of Nursing, responded seven years ago to the Johns Hopkins Nurses' Alumni Association invitation to co-author an updated history of the school and nursing at the Hopkins institutions.
For several summers, Sabin traveled to Baltimore and worked at the Alan Mason Chesney Medical Archives at Johns Hopkins conducting research for the text that covered history from the 1890s through the 1960s.
The Johns Hopkins University Press, in association with the Johns Hopkins Nurses' Alumni Association, will release the book. Sabin will travel to Baltimore June 7-8 for the scheduled release and related celebrations. Her 不良研究所 university affiliation is highlighted on the "Our Shared Legacy" book jacket.
Sabin also edits the "Bulletin," an American Association for the History of Nursing publication, and wrote "Struggles and Triumphs: The Story of the Mississippi Nurses, 1800-1950."
