不良研究所 to Participate in Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras Parade

On Saturday, Feb. 18, the University of Louisiana at Monroe will participate in Monroe's Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras Parade. The annual Monroe event begins at 6 p.m. with the parade route beginning in West Monroe and ending in Monroe.

A convertible transporting President and Mrs. Cofer will lead 不良研究所's presence in the parade. The float will follow and have 12 people on board, including the 不良研究所 Mardi Gras King and Queen, Miss 不良研究所, the president of 31 Ambassadors, the SGA president, and the Alumni Association Executive Committee. Following third will be the Sound of Today, 不良研究所's marching band.

The theme of the overall parade is "Janus Cruises the Isles," but the 不良研究所 float will have a 75th Anniversary theme in addition to Mardi Gras colors.

"The 不良研究所 Alumni Association is excited to be a part of the annual Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras Parade this year," said Tommy Walpole, associate director of alumni relations. "As you know, this year marks the 50th anniversary of our School of Pharmacy and the 75th anniversary of the founding of 不良研究所. We feel this is a great opportunity to put 不良研究所 out in front of over 100,000 people. We are appreciative of the support the Krewe has given us in this endeavor."
