College of Business Administration Bestows Honors at 37th Annual Honors Banquet

At the College of Business Administration's 37th Annual Honors Banquet recently, college and departmental awards were presented to the several students.

Lily Siphronia Jeane (Computer Information Systems, Pineville, La.) - College of Business Administration Outstanding Graduate Award; Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems

Angela D. McCray (Accounting, Grand Prairie, Tx.) - College of Business Administration Outstanding Graduate Award; Outstanding Graduate in Accounting

Susan Kay Clow (Computer Information Systems, Monroe, La.) - College of Business Administration Distinguished Scholar Award; The Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award; Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Graduating Senior Award

Maria Echenique (Economics, Buenos Aires, Argentina) - College of Business Administration Distinguished Scholar Award; Outstanding Graduate in Economics

Trinitee G. Hattaway (Accounting, West Monroe, La.) - College of Business Administration Distinguished Scholar Award

Pi Sigma Epsilon Outstanding Graduating Senior Awards - Jana Collie (Management, West Monroe, La.), Fall 2004; Kara Birmingham (Management, West Monroe, La.), Spring 2005; Most Involved Pi Sigma Epsilon Member - Jennifer Adams (Marketing, Marrero, La.)

Institute of Supply Management Scholarships were awarded to Ashley Pierot (Management, West Monroe, La.) and Carrie Skains (Management, Monroe, La.)

Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honorary fraternity for collegiate business students, selected its outstanding students as well. The Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Junior Scholarship was awarded to Stephanie Brouillette (Accounting, Cottonport, La.). Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding MBA Graduate Award was given to Muhammad Arif Qayyum (GR MBA, Pakistan). Beta Gamma Sigma Honorable Mention Chapter Award was presented to Mindy Wiggers (Accounting, Winnsboro, La.). Named as Chapter Honorees were Jim Creel (Monroe, La.) Owner and Chairman of the Board of Creel Properties and Manager of Riverplace Condominium Complex, Southland Research and Bennigans and Bill Krutzer (Monroe, La.) President of WHK, Inc.

Master of Business Administration Outstanding Graduate Awards were presented to Casey Webb (West Monroe, La.), Summer 2004; Kelly Bucewicz (Jacksonville, Fl), Fall 2004; and Zdravko Markov (Bosnia), Spring 2005.

Dr. Tammy R. Parker (Economics and Finance Department) was recognized as the College of Business Administration Outstanding Professor, and Dr. Parker also received the College of Business Administration Outstanding Intellectual Contributions Award. Departmental Outstanding Intellectual Contributions Awards were given to Dr. Ruth Miller (Computer Information Systems Department) and Dr. Robert Stevens (Management and Marketing Department). Dr. David Loudon (Management and Marketing Department) will be retiring this summer and was presented a plaque.
