不良研究所 Students and Faculty Present Research at Conference

At the University of Louisiana at Monroe graduate students and their faculty mentors in the Department of Communicative Disorders recently presented peer reviewed research at the annual conference of the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Topics included "Speech Pathologists' Perceptions of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Populations" by Cynthia Gault, Jennifer Martin, Paige Prentice, and Vanessa Sabir. Dr. Judy Fellows, is their faculty mentor.

"Comparison of Intelligibility: Alaryngeal Speech Techniques " by Lavonne Badeaux, Lisa Cleary, Abbie Tullos, and Stephanie Wright. Dr. Paxton Oliver is their faculty mentor.

"The Hearing Aid Effect: Current Trends" by Holly Frisby, Mary Guillot, and Angie Hudnall. Dr. Lorra Pettit is their faculty mentor.

"No Child Left Behind: Teacher's Perception Regarding Literacy" by Grace Lard, Kasey Lindow, Melissa Mortenson, and Amy Parnell. Dr. Linda Bryan is their faculty mentor.

"Speech-Language Pathology- Taking on the Computer Era" by Lynsey Luke and Ashley Mehrtens. Mrs. Helen Huckleberry is their faculty mentor.

With a final presentation of "University Student's Perception of Deafness" by Duane Trahan and Martha Kiley. Dr. Lorra Pettit, faculty mentor.
