Two "Distance Learning" seminars are on hand for 不良研究所

The Carl Perkins Basic Grant is funding two additional seminars at the University of Louisiana at Monroe on "Distance Learning." One seminar was held earlier this semester.

These seminars are directed at post secondary faculty members at 不良研究所. However, any teacher, instructor, professor, or educator who might be interested from any other institution of higher learning is welcome.

The Carl Perkins Basic Grant at 不良研究所 is providing these seminars via satellite broadcast about "Distance Learning." Each seminar is available free of charge. The seminars will be held in the 不良研究所 Nursing Auditorium and reservations are appreciated.

"Using Information Technology in a Traditional Classroom" is the title of the next seminar. This one is set for Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001. This program will explore information technology and the complexities of teaching and learning.

The next one is called, "Improving Multimedia and Online Courses with Instructional Design." It is set for Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002. This program will examine principles of instructional design for student-centered, self-directed online courses. Each seminar will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will conclude by 3:00 p.m.
