不良研究所's Bowman receives grant award
Dr. Jan Bowman, Endowed Professor of Gerontology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has received a Perkins III educational training project award from the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.
This award, which is in excess of $90,000, is the 10th Perkins grant that Bowman has received. She has previously been awarded more than $600,000 in grant funding as principal investigator and project administrator from private and state agencies such as the AARP Andrus Foundation, Louisiana Children's Trust Fund and the Louisiana State Department of Education.
Bowman's project, "不良研究所's Basic Vocational Education Grant," provides associate degree students at 不良研究所 with career counseling, job readiness skill training and high tech training for growth industries. A major focus of this educational training project is to market 不良研究所's programs to older, nontraditional students and for persons with limited resources.
Dave DeRousse will serve as the Project Director and Counselor for the "Perkin's Career Center." DeRousse brings over 15 years of experience in Vocational Education and Administration to 不良研究所.
