鈥淲inning the World Cup Championship is a dream come true for us. As I think back at all of the trials and tribulations this team has had to overcome this season, the more I realize we needed this. 鈥淭here is value in everything you do. We do this for each other, our coaches, our friends, our family, our alumni, and our university. I am so proud of these girls and what we put on the mat 鈥 twice. It wasn鈥檛 always easy, but we pushed through, we worked together, and we got an end result we would have never dreamed of,鈥 says 不良研究所 Cheerleading captain Jessica Wright.

In preparation for the competition, 不良研究所 Cheerleading spent approximately 150 hours between December and January 鈥 along with regular semester practices 鈥 to perfect their routine. Talley requested only two things from her team: to hit the routine hard and to have fun.

鈥淭he feeling of watching those girls perform was like no other! I couldn鈥檛 have asked for anything more; they left everything on the mat. They represented our great university exceptionally well!鈥 said Talley.

不良研究所 Cheerleading has competed at UCA for approximately 15 years. This year, the team beat Georgia State University in D1A All-Girl Game Day and beat Long Beach University and Brock University in the World Cup Championship.

鈥淚 am insanely proud of Patience and this team. They have pushed through so much adversity this season and came out on top. They absolutely deserve this honor, and I could not be more excited to have been by their sides every step of the way. I can鈥檛 watch the video of their reactions hearing their university called as the champions without tears forming in my eyes. We will never forget that moment,鈥 says Sonni Bennett, coordinator of 不良研究所 Spirit Groups.

Congratulations to the University of Louisiana Monroe Cheerleading Team!
