Christine Berry, Ph.D., professor and coordinator of the RMI program, recommended Arpino for the scholarship.聽聽

鈥淢ilan is one of the most enthusiastic and hardest working students I have encountered in my over 25 years of being in higher education. There are many exceptional things about Milan, but one of the most remarkable is that she spent a year in Italy immediately after high school. On her own initiative, she later obtained a risk management internship (for which she could speak only Italian) working for Mario Capello, engineer and technical consultant for the Republic of Italy this past summer,鈥 Berry said.

Arpino added, 鈥淚 am honored to be a recipient of the Education Foundation Scholarship. I am very appreciative for the work of the selection committee, Foundation President聽, and聽聽for their continued support of students pursuing careers in Risk Management and Insurance. Special thanks to Dr.聽聽and the University of Louisiana Monroe RMI program.鈥澛
