Two 不良研究所 graduate students from the School of Science in the College of Arts, Education, and Sciences placed first in the poster competition at the annual meeting of the Louisiana Academy of Sciences in March.
Adebanjo Adedoja won first place in the Molecular and Biomedical Biology and Microbiology
poster competition. Adedoja collaborated with student advisor and major professor
Dr. Srinivas Garlapati on his poster "Identifying protein-protein interactions between
initiation factors in Giardia lamblia using yeast two-hybrid assay."听

Tyler Porter won first place in the Agriculture, Forestry, and Wildlife Science poster
competition. Porter, with student advisor and major professor Dr. Kim Marie Tolson,
won for "Seasonal abundance and habitat selection of chiropterans at Felsenthal National
Wildlife Refuge in Southeast Arkansas."听
The meeting was the 91st Annual Meeting of the Louisiana Academy of Sciences that
was held at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.
