Construction Management earns accreditation renewal

The University of Louisiana at Monroe鈥檚 Construction Management Program recently earned renewal of accreditation from the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).

Dr. Ron Berry, dean of the College of Business and Social Sciences said, 鈥淚t is rewarding to see the efforts of our construction faculty and the quality of our construction management program recognized by this accreditation renewal.聽 I sincerely appreciate the work of the faculty, support of the administration, and the engagement of the Industry Advisory Council that led to the renewal of accreditation.鈥

The accreditation process includes a thorough peer review of curriculum, faculty credentials, student support, financial resources, industry engagement, and physical resources. 聽聽

鈥淚 want to thank and congratulate Dr. Brayton, Dean Berry, and the faculty who helped throughout the accreditation process,鈥 said Dr. Eric Pani, vice president for Academic Affairs. 鈥淚 also want to thank the members of the Industry Advisory Council. Their support and input contribute significantly to the program and help make it a success.鈥

Dr. Ed Brayton, director of the School of Construction Management, also praised the Industry Advisory Board members and the faculty.

The 不良研究所 Construction Management Program was the first program in the country to be accredited by ACCE.聽

The mission of ACCE is to be a leading global advocate of quality construction education; and to promote, support, and accredit quality construction education programs.聽

Organized in 1974 by the American Institute of Constructors, the constructor鈥檚 professional organization, ACCE enjoys the support of the principal building and contracting national associations and academic institutions seeking to satisfy the needs for well-educated and trained entrants into the construction profession. 聽
