不良研究所 College of Business and Social Sciences honors academic excellence

The College of Business and Social Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe held its 47th Annual Honors Banquet Friday, April 24, in the 不良研究所 Library Conference Center to honor outstanding students in the College of Business and Social Sciences.

The highest award given to a graduate from the College of Business and Social Sciences was the 2014-2015 Dean鈥檚 Award of Excellence presented to Chad Miller of Sulphur. He received $1,000. He also received the Outstanding Graduate in Finance Award.

The 2014-2015 Superior Scholar Award, which included $750, was presented to Heidi M. Higginbotham of Church Point. She also won the Outstanding Graduate in Aviation Award.

The 2014-2015 Distinguished Scholar Award, which included $500, went to Robert Mason Seaborn III of Fairhope, Ala.

The 2014-2015 Outstanding Scholar Award, which included $250, was presented to Vonnie Eldridge of Deville.

The 2014-2015 Award of Commendation, which included $125, went to Morgan May of Shreveport. She also received the Outstanding Graduate in Risk Management and Insurance Award.

Outstanding awards by program included:

Tim Hardham of Melbourne, Australia was selected by the graduate faculty as the Outstanding Master of Business Administration Graduate for the 2014 calendar year. He also was selected as the 2014-2015 Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding MBA Graduate.

Laurie Fitzgerald of Calhoun received the Outstanding Graduate in Accounting Award.

Teona Glave of Mandeville Jamaica received the Outstanding Graduate in Ag Business Award.

Allen Shrestha of Lalitpur, Nepal received the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems Award. He also received the 2014-2015 Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Senior Award.

Taylor Stutts of Oak Grove received the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Science Award.

Nicholas Spillers of Downsville received the Outstanding Graduate in Construction Management Award.

Mackenzie Hobbs of West Monroe received the Outstanding Graduate in Criminal Justice Award.

Lyndsay Turner of West Monroe received the Outstanding Graduate in General Business Award.

LaDonna Cherie Parker of West Monroe received the Outstanding Graduate in Management Award.

Kelsey Adams of Calhoun received the Outstanding Graduate in Marketing Award.

Kalee Hall of Minden received the Outstanding Graduate in Political Science Award.

Christopher Chad Lambert of Sterlington received the Outstanding Graduate in Psychology Award.

Mary K. Irwin of New Orleans received the Outstanding Graduate in Social Work Award.

Courtnie Pollard of Jennings received the Outstanding Graduate in Sociology Award.

Graduating senior awards were presented to students who have stayed the course to graduation and have distinguished themselves in their major.

Thornton, Jr. of Newellton, accounting; James Waldron of Freeport Fla., construction management; Westley Ryan Wallace of Sterlington, sociology; and Tara W. Williamson of Collinston, social work.
