о Delta Sigma Phi fraternity helps with “Stuff-a-Bus” campaign

Published December 01, 2014

The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity is helping to kick off the annual "Stuff-a-Bus" campaign in honor of the Center for Children and Families’ annual Christmas Project.

The event is sponsored by The Radio People broadcast group, Pecanland Mall, and The Center for Children and Families.

The event officially kicks off on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and ends Friday Dec. 5. The donation bus will be parked at Pecanland Mall, located on Millhaven drive, in Monroe. Donations can be made 24 hours-a-day during the three-day event.

The gift drive aims in helping to provide Christmas presents for the many children served by the Center for Children and Families in North Louisiana.

Each day will feature a special theme, with Friday, Dec. 5 serving historically as the drive’s busiest day.

According to the campaign website, "The Christmas Project is an annual effort by the Center for Children and Families that uses community members to fulfill the Christmas wish lists of children who are served through the Center’s many programs."

"Nearly 700 children have filled out wish lists for the Christmas Project this year alone. Sponsors are asked to purchase an outfit of clothing and at least one toy item off the child’s wish list. All toy donations given to the Center by the “Stuff-a-Bus” campaign will be used to provide gifts to children for whom a sponsor cannot be found."
