In June, Tresner鈥檚 work was featured in the 鈥淎rtists Among Us: Faculty & Friends Art Exhibition鈥 at the Alexandria Museum of Art. 鈥淎rtists Among Us鈥 is a special exhibition which provides the opportunity to honor regional artists and educators who have served the community鈥檚 educational art programs and the museum with distinction over the years.

According to their website, the annual exhibition features art faculty from universities in the region, as well as selected works from regional organizations that gather artists working throughout Central Louisiana to share ideas, information, and inspiration.

This annual exhibition opens a new path for partnership, experimentation, and exchange among arts professors, students, and arts guilds, while showcasing some of the best contemporary work in the region.

鈥淎rtists Among Us: Faculty & Friends Art Exhibition鈥 runs through Aug. 23.

Tresner鈥檚 work has also been selected for the 鈥淟ouisiana Contemporary鈥 show at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans.

According to their website, 270 artists submitted over 830 works for consideration. A total of 89 works were selected by the juror, Jonathan Binstock, senior vice-president and specialist in Modern and Contemporary Art for Citi Private Bank Art Advisory and Finance.

The annual event promotes contemporary art practices in the state of Louisiana, provides exhibition space for the exposition of living artist's work, and engages a contemporary audience that recognizes the vibrant visual culture of Louisiana and the role of New Orleans as a rising, international art center.

鈥淟ouisiana Contemporary鈥 runs from Aug. 2-Sept. 28.

Tresner obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana State University in 1990 and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Mississippi in 1994. He has worked for 不良研究所 for over 18 years.
