Bista is the founder and editor-in-chief of the publication. Currently, there are 85 professors and doctoral students from universities around the world serving on the journal’s editorial board as reviewers, associate editors, and copy editors.
Bista says, “The goal of the journal is to feature narrative, theoretical and empirically-based research articles, study abroad experience/reflections of student and faculty, and book reviews relevant to international students and their cross-cultural experiences and understanding in higher education.”
Along with Bista, Drs. Amy Dagley and Kioh Kim from the о School of Education, serve on the journal’s Board of Directors.
Dr. Milton D. Cox, professor at Miami University, and editor-in-chief of the “Journal on Excellence in College Teaching” says, “As an editor-in-chief myself, I know all the opportunities and challenges that such a role presents. Congratulations on the production of a lively, timely, and interesting journal. I am pleased that the journal is addressing the needs of a higher education that is increasingly global.”
The journal publishes quarterly and its articles are indexed with major databases such as ProQuest, EBSCOhost, OCLC/WorldCat, the Australian Council for Educational Research, and Cabell’s Directory of Journal.
Dr. Catherine Montgomery, professor at the University of Hull and the author of “Understanding the International Student Experience,” said “The variety of contributions and contributors to the journal is impressive and confirms that both academics and students have actively and creatively engaged with it.”
The journal audience includes international and domestic students, faculty, administrators, and educators engaged in research and practice in international students in colleges and universities. All digital articles published in the journal are available free of cost.
