Each project was chosen through a competitive review process and 不良研究所 presented four unique projects during the summit.
Overall, 44 presentations were selected to showcase community impact projects in diverse areas such as social work, sociology, music, literacy, marketing, radiology, disaster preparedness, teacher education, bio-diversity, and filmmaking.
Dr. Kimberly S. Whorton, assistant professor of dental hygiene, presented 鈥淭ransferring Teaching Strategies from the Classroom to Service-Learning Projects.鈥
Tiffany Jackson, professional development coordinator of the TEACH program, collaborated with Montrell Marshall, a graduate student from Baton Rouge, and Mark Parrish of First Baptist Church in West Monroe, to present 鈥淭EACH Project Students 鈥楤roaden Horizons鈥 Through STEM Investigations.鈥
Jackson also presented 鈥淕irls Scouts 鈥楶ower Up鈥 with 不良研究所鈥檚 TEACH Project Partnership,鈥 with Katherine Stagg of the Louisiana Girl Scouts and Linda Trimble of Ouachita Parish Schools.
Dr. Pamela Higgins Saulsberry, professor of social work, presented 鈥淟ife Events, Transitions, and Turning Points,鈥 with senior social work majors Eric Hendrix and Tara Williamson.
Each participant received a medal commemorating their achievement and the students will display their medals during commencement exercises.
