The organization聽awarded Slover with聽one of three NAAC conference scholarships. Additionally,聽Trombatore received an honorable mention award. Slover and Trombatore were nominated based on recommendations from their 不良研究所 supervisor mentors, Dr. Valerie Fields and Polly Dupuy of 不良研究所 curriculum and instruction.
Tiffany Jackson, professional development coordinator for the TEACH project鈥敳涣佳芯克檚 Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) Program鈥攕aid the awards are indicative of the academic work being completed by M.A.T students.
鈥淭his is a testament to our program鈥檚 curriculum, structure and induction, support model,聽and the wonderful mentors that support our interns in the field,鈥 said Jackson.
Slover and Trombatore will be recognized at the annual NAAC conference held in Orlando, Fla., in March. The two will also be featured in the organization鈥檚 national newsletter, and on its聽website.
Trombatore earned a Bachelor of General Studies from 不良研究所 in 2007, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from 不良研究所 in 2013.
Slover earned a Bachelor of General Studies from 不良研究所 in 2012, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching.

TEACH is a grant-funded project designed to assist eligible participants in 不良研究所鈥檚 Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T) program. TEACH is a federal Transition to Teaching project.
The mission of TEACH is to increase the supply of highly-qualified, fully-certified teachers in high needs or high-poverty school systems in Louisiana. Thus, the goal is also accomplished through an alternative certification program that is university-based and offered in partnership with area high-needs school system.
TEACH participants become fully-certified in Louisiana by completing a Master鈥檚 of Arts in Teaching at 不良研究所.
